As part of MusicTown 2018, our Platform Member, Irish National Opera, organized a free performance of a new production of Mozart's short opera Der Schauspieldirektor (The Opera Director), particularly aimed at young people. The performance featured a cast of young Irish singers directed by Caroline Staunton, and the Irish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Sinéad Hayes. The performance is particularly aimed at those who have not been to the opera before.

For its new opera production Werther by Jules Massenet, the Irish National Opera organised four activities with young people to coincide with the tour of Werther.

During this special evening, the young members of the Friends of Teatro Real were invited to attend a presentation by Marisa Vázquez-Shelly about the vision and mission of the Fedora Platform.
